  1. Welcome & Agenda Overview 

The meeting was opened by Peter Lloyd, Chairperson who welcomed all attendees and outlined the agenda.  The AGM presentation slides were used to guide discussions.

  1. Chairperson’s Report – Peter Lloyd 

Key Highlights: 

  • Since taking chair Peter had visited all foodbanks & warehouse to meet volunteers and thank them for their continued reliability and long-term service. 
  • Attended various food drives in Asda and Tesco which is also attended by same volunteers with some corporate support.  
  • Campaigning in Edinburgh with Dave at the Scotland Deserves Better March with Trussell’s wish list for the Scottish Government’s awareness.  
  • Various events and sessions available for training, great to hear other experiences at Trussell Roadshow. And at The Gathering for updates on Cyber Security and AI. 
  • Reduction of costs through management control, risk management and governance 
  • Sustainability is really important. If we are needed in Fife, we will be here. 

 

  1. Treasurers Financial Report – Year to June 2025 

Martin Smith the Treasurer presented the financial report  

Key Financial Figures: 

  • Full-year financial report was presented 
  • Needed to renew Warehouse Lease which doubled, making it difficult to sustain on a long-term basis. 
  • Made a loss of £48,008 this year.  Income is not enough to cover expenses. 
  • Tesco top-ups helped; we are blessed with individual donations and a legacy left by a previous volunteer who passed away. 
  • Food being bought in is a continued large expense at £2,500 a month. 
  • Largest cost was property at £85,671 due to increase to £165,000. 
  • Utility costs increased, vehicle maintenance costs increased due to age; salaries increased.  
  • Funding from Trussell for staffing including FIO & managers strategy plan.  
  • Grants from Robertson Trust and National Lottery to cover warehouse. 
  • Negotiation with landlord of Warehouse is reducing our costs by 50% this year. Won’t be eating into our savings as much as it did.  

 

 

  1. Foodbank Manager’s Review – Sandra Beveridge 

 

Foodbank Statistics (1st Jan – 31st Dec 2025) 

  • Trussell now recording statistics from year start to end dates 
  • Total individuals served: 7696 (5,032 adults, 2664 children) 
  • Client use down by 9% compared with 2024 
  • Food donations down by 7% on previous year 
  • Food distributed: 83,725kg (down by 12% on previous year) 

 

Key Updates: 

 

  • In February 2026, Claire Dick joined as Assistant Foodbank manager to work Tue, Wed & Thu’s to run daily operations. 
  • In March 2025, Ashley Conn our Income Maximization Officer started.  
  • Referrals from volunteers to her from frontline were 225. 157 received advice, support and debt advice. 85% were helped. Financial gain was £57,376.45. 
  • She is employed by CARF and helped to manage £11,200 of debt to date. 
  • Assemble set up by Vikki Gorn. Volunteer recruitment system which holds all information, rotas, meeting documents, training records and policies. 
  • Sandra & Vikki lobbied Parliament in June 2025 to lobby #GuranteeOurEssentials campaign. Met with Graeme Downey & Melanie Ward, follow up meetings continue. 
  • Update to e-referral. John admin says 99.5%, red voucher is still rare but still accept. 

Looking Ahead (2026): 

  • Forward Planning for 2026 is a work in progress. We are reducing picking list items and emergency parcel amounts. 
  • Continue to push a big commitment to Dignity & Respect, with warm respectful welcomes.  
  • Average of 1.7 times people are visiting us which is a success. 
  • Continuing to work on improving our service, profile and awareness. 
  • Dunfermline mentioned at last 3 Trussell Roadshows for the sites work 
  • Thanks to Volunteers & Trustees.  
  • Jon Farrimond, as a trustee since 2016, is stepping down. He was involved in a lot of key developments including the space in Liberty Church and our purpose-built space in the Liberty Centre. Still giving on-going advocacy and support. Thank you for everything from Sandra and the trustees. 

Election/Re-Election of Charity Trustees 

  • Chair – Peter – Nominated by John, Janet Seconds 
  • Secretary – Janet to remain 
  • Treasurer – Martin to remain 

 

Closing Remarks 

Jon Farrimond tells the meeting he can no longer match up to the commitment of other trustees as they carry a lot and do a great job. 

No Questions, Peter formally closes the AGM at 8.30pm
