Annual General Meeting 2019

7th February 2019

Annual General Meeting 2019!

The meeting was introduced by Martin Smith, our Chairperson, who outlined the challenges faced last year, and how we’ve been able to overcome these to provide an excellent service for the Dunfermline and West Fife community.

Ian Hepburn, our Treasurer, outlined our financial situation, which is stable, despite some of the challenges faced last year in moving to a new warehouse.  He also predicted that we will continue to be stable in 2019, and have an adequate reserve, should we have to move venue again.

Jonathan Astill, our Foodbank Manager, gave a report on last year, which saw an increase of uptake of our service, and how we’ve met that challenge by increasing in our opening hours in Dunfermline Centre, increasing our pick-up service, and increasing our volunteer teams.  Jonathan also thanked everyone at the Foodbank for their support over the past 2 years, as this will be his last AGM as he is taking up a post with the Trussell Trust as an Area Manager.

Finally, Martin closed the meeting with a massive thank you to our wonderful and enthusiastic volunteers who continually go above and beyond to help those in need, and to Jonathan, for steering us through the last 2 challenging years.
